My office has been contacted by many constituents in Lemont regarding the
127th Street Construction Project. We have contacted the Highway Department and have been advised of the following:

1. Mounds of Dirt: The mounds of dirt that are sitting in the area are from developers who are developing new sub-divisions in the area.

2. The road construction will be completed and opened for travel by the end of August with the landscaping being completed in the fall, weather permitting.

3. The delay in the project was caused by a problem with the asphalt mixtures which caused a 3 week delay.
